Vintage Lenox Ivory Porcelain Nautilus Shell Bowl

A sculptural vintage Lenox porcelain bowl modeled after the sweeping form of a nautilus shell. Deeply ridged sides, an irregular scalloped rim and curled shell detail give the piece a beautiful sense of movement, while Lenox’s warm ivory glaze keeps it classic and understated.

Dating to approximately the 1940s, the bowl bears the Lenox wreath mark and “Made in USA” on the base. It is an especially good example of the small decorative pieces we look for in vintage sourcing: useful enough for a vanity or tabletop, but interesting enough to stand alone.
